There are many types of recruitment agency and we have found that it is not appropriate to offer a "one size fits all" approach to supplying software solutions.

There are three versions of Asset:

The Asset Agency version is best suited to the sort of agency that does not do much retained business but supplies a mix of permanents, temps and contract staff mainly on a contingency basis.

The Asset Search version is best suited to the "executive search" agency that does mainly retained research-based search assignments for both permanent positions and interim management.

The Search & Select version has evolved from the Search version for the agency that does a mix of search and contingency; perm, temp and contract but with predominantly perm business.

What are the main differences?

The versions of Asset differ in the same way that the agencies they apply to differ.

In the two Search versions, the Asset database keeps all people information together in one file because candidates can become client contacts and vice-versa. The typical search firm need sto track where people work now and in the past and have links from those employer companies from the work history and links for the companies back to the employees.

The Agency version, by contrast, separates candidates from client contacts and records less information on people which is more typical of the temping and contract agency.

The two Search versions an be distinguished by the type of search firm. Asset Search appeals to th emore traditional executive search firm that recruits for senior positions, emplys a research department and does not send out cv's to clients but builds target lists of possible candidates and presents these to clients.

Asset Search and Selection appeals to the agency that also applies search techniques but to both senior and more junior positions and has the need for cv send-outs to clients, temp tracking and consultant performance management.

All Asset versions can be supplemented by a selection of Other Asset Modules
